Placer Adult Literacy Service (PALS)
A PALS volunteer since 1999, Linda works as a tutor helping adults. A Placer County Library Program since 1985, PALS offers free, confidential, one-on-one help with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, basic math, GED preparation, job search and resumé writing, computer skills, and English as a second language.

Literacy Support Council of Placer County (LSC)
The LSC, the advocacy and fundraising organization that helps PALS, is a registered California tax-exempt charity, and a proud United Way Certified Agency Partner. If you would like to help lift up local communities in Placer County, join the LSC. Memberships begin at just $10. a year; your gifts to the LSC buy the workbooks, whiteboards, computers, and other tools that help people learn.
We meet just 6 times a year, and our meetings are one hour or less. All meetings are on Tuesday:
